Heather Graham Seeks Compatible Boyfriend

Heather Graham’s ideal man must like cosy bed time because the star loves nothing better than snuggling down at the weekends. The actress works hard during her weeks so she can take time off at the weekends – and stay in bed. She reveals, “I am a champion sleeper… I sleep as long as possible on Saturdays. I love white sheets with superhigh thread counts and two comforters (quilts) because I get cold. The guys I’ve gone out with have been especially irritated about that.”

The single star also dreams of dating a cook: “The ideal (date) would be: I’m going out with a chef, and he cooks me a gourmet meal.”

And she also insists potential suitors have a little style after one dating disaster. She adds, “I went out with a guy who wore a half shirt. I thought that it was odd. I’m walking next to him, and he’s in a tummy shirt. Fashion is not the most important thing, but it helps if you don’t wear something that’s going to humiliate your date.”

ABC Defends Cancellation of Graham Comedy

One minute, Heather Graham was the face of ABC. The next minute, she was gone. Her comedy series “Emily’s Reasons Why Not” was promoted relentlessly by the network as the linchpin of its post-football Monday night schedule, but was only given one airing before being yanked earlier this month.

ABC committed to the big promotional campaign before even seeing a script for the show, said ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson on Saturday. The series turned out to be a dog creatively, he indicated.

“Once we saw it was not launching, we felt like unfortunately it was not going to get better and we had to make a change,” McPherson said.

A total of six episodes were filmed, and McPherson said no determination has been made about whether they would be burned off.

The quick hook doesn’t mean producers of other ABC series with middling ratings — “Invasion,” for example — should be shaking in fear.

“That’s a great example for us of when to be patient and when to fold them,” he said. “We believe in that show.”
