Please help if you can

As you all know, I don’t ordinarily ask for help with donations or anything, but this is an exception because it is an emergency situation. Mycah, a dear online friend and fellow webmistress, and her family lost their home in a terrible fire last week (read more about it here). They all made it out of the fire safely, which is the most important thing, but they lost absolutely everything they had and right now they need a place to stay, clothes, and all the other essentials that we all need for day to day living. If there’s any way you can help donate even just as little as $5 to help them out, I know they would greatly appreciate it. If you can help, please send your donations to Mycah at agnesfanb89@yahoo.com through paypal.com. If you need further information or have any questions, please email me at hgonline@gmail.com.

Meeting Mr. Wrong

It isn’t by chance that the troubled protagonists of “Broken” have the portentous names of Hope and Will. Before it’s over, the story of Hope (Heather Graham), an aspiring singer-songwriter from Cleveland whose life comes apart while under the sway of her heroin-addicted boyfriend, Will (Jeremy Sisto), becomes an allegory in which, according to the movie’s production notes, she “is navigating through her own version of the seven deadly sins.”

That translates into a depiction of alternative outcomes to Hope’s story as she interacts with the denizens of the all-night diner where she works as a waitress. Each of these hustlers and lowlifes points her in a different ominous direction; one woman is a disheveled, ruined facsimile of what she might become.

Heather Graham said to be planning movie about 1911 New York fire

Heather Graham says she’s close to securing financing for a movie about a tragic 1911 New York City fire at a shirt factory that killed more than 100 women, a magazine reported Friday.

Graham said in an interview published in the September edition of Prestige Hong Kong magazine the film is based on the fire at the Triangle shirt factory in Manhattan.

“It’s my pet project. I’ve been working on getting it made for around 10 years,” Graham told the magazine. She said she will also star in the movie as one of the factory workers.

She said she learned about the fire watching a Ken Burns documentary on the history of New York City.

“He did 45 minutes on the Triangle fire and by the end I was bawling my eyes out,” Graham reportedly said.

She said she’s “one or two months” away from securing financing and is looking for a director.

Graham is known for movies like “Boogie Nights” and “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.” She was recently seen in the comedy “Gray Matters” and will be seen in the upcoming drama “Adrift in Manhattan” and the romantic comedy “Buy Borrow Steal.”
