Heather To Receive Career Achievement Award At BIFF
The Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) will be honouring Heather with its Career Achievement Award today, 2nd December.
The award is given to “an actor or actress whose work has had a major impact and advanced the frontiers of cinematic artistry around the world.”
Past winners include actors Alan Arkin, Johnny Depp, Nicolas Cage, Laurence Fishburne, and Daryl Hannah and the director Roger Corman.

Heather Graham in talks for Bollywood film
Heather Graham has revealed that she is in talks to star in a Bollywood film.
The US actor, who is currently on her second trip to India, made the announcement at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, reports Hindustan Times.
“I’ve already talked to someone and I hope it works out,” said Graham. “I can’t name him right now, though the project is interesting. I’ll wait to see how things go. When you hear about it, you’ll know what I was talking about.”
The project is rumored to involve Ra.One star-producer Shah Rukh Khan, who Graham met at the event.
“It was very brief, but he is sweet and charming,” the Hangover actor said of their meeting.
Graham recollected working on the 2002 release The Guru, which she felt contained elements of Indian cinema.
“I have already done a Hollywood film that had a Bollywood number,” she said. “I feel it’s an actor’s dream to get to sing and dance, wear nice make-up and costumes. I love it.”

‘Little In Common’ Not Going Forward At Fox
Rob Corddry’s single-camera comedy pilot Little In Common is no longer in contention at Fox. The network has passed on the project, about three families with different views on child rearing, which starred Rob Corddry, Heather Graham, Kevin Hart, Gabrielle Union and Alana Ubach. The decision was made after Fox received the retooled Little In Common pilot. In lieu of a series pickup, Fox in May ordered a second pilot and some changes. Paula Marshall was recast with Graham and another character was phased out. But I hear that, while they liked the cast, Fox brass were underwhelmed with the new pilot, which also didn’t test well. Little In Common was one of two pilots from last season that Fox left in contention in May.

Renny Harlin on His Comeback Movie 5 Days of War…
Renny Harlin used to be a go-to director in Hollywood, the guy who made blockbusters like Die Hard 2 and Cliffhanger. He was offered Alien 3, Speed, and Goldeneye, but he walked away from them. Then he made 1995′s Cutthroat Island — the worst flop of all-time, according to the Guinness Book of World Records — and, suddenly, Harlin was no longer in demand. Now? He’s on a rebound, opening 5 Days of War this weekend. The film tells the story of two war correspondents (played by Rupert Friend and Val Kilmer) covering the somewhat obscure 2008 conflict between Russia and its former satellite, Georgia. (It also stars Andy Garcia, Heather Graham, and Emmanuelle Chriqui.) We spoke with Harlin at the premiere party about hustling military tanks from the government, losing Tintin to Spielberg, and Val Kilmer’s bubble-bath idea.
One of the film’s producers [Mirza Davitaia] is a Georgian government minister: Was he instrumental in getting the military equipment you used?
The film was partly his idea, because they were so frustrated after the war that nobody knew about it, and it was so misunderstood. So he said, “Let’s go to Hollywood and get them to make a movie about this.” We met with the minister of defense, and I would say, “I need maybe 40 tanks in this one scene,” and they would say, “Okay, when do you need them?” Then it was, “Did I say 40? I mean 80.” [Laughs.] So we ended up getting about 80 tanks, eight helicopters, three fighter jets, and thousands of soldiers: It’s all real.
